Hampton by Hilton

Rochdale

Hilton Hotels and Resorts is an internationally recognised brand with over 500 hotels in cities across the world.

The objectives

This Hampton by Hilton was part of the £65m Upperbanks development in Rochdale, and LiDR was thrilled to be appointed on the 146 bedroom hotel, working alongside construction partners Willmott Dixon.

In the early stages of the project, LiDR worked alongside the interior designers and Hilton to develop guestroom furniture which was in line with the new Hilton brand guidelines. References to Rochdale are included in the bedroom artwork, and LiDR ensured all the key brand features were accommodated despite challenging site conditions.

The process

Understanding the standards set by the Hilton brand were key to the design and manufacture of the furniture for each room. Each room includes a comfortable bed with bespoke upholstered headboard, TV unit, credenza to house tea and coffee making facilities and a wardrobe with integrated sliding door to the ensuite bathroom, along with all the loose furniture elements in the rooms.

Bedrooms

The 146 rooms in the hotel were a mix of king, superking flex, twin and accessible rooms, each being a little different. The superking flex rooms have beds that can be split in half to convert from a superking to a twin room.

The bar and restaurant

We were also able to provide all the loose furniture for the front of house area as part of a full FF&E package.

The result

Throughout the project we balanced the requirements of the Hampton by Hilton brand standards, along with the specifics of the construction on site, to provide a high quality installation throughout.
