Bespoke office furniture for Zampell

Overview

Zampell is a business which is based in Cheadle, Staffordshire, but operates internationally with manufacturing and refractory operations in the UK, Europe and the USA.

We were delighted to work with the team once again to provide bespoke fitted office furniture for a brand new office build.

The objectives

The Team at Zampell contacted us to create bespoke office furniture for a brand new office building. We had already worked with them on an existing unit which they were very pleased with, so we were thrilled at the opportunity to work with them again. We were appointed to manufacture bespoke furniture and fittings for a new open plan office, entrance hall and reception area, staff kitchen, lockers and a meeting room.

The process

It is essential that any bespoke office furniture, kitchen areas and meeting rooms are created to fit within the working environment and organisational culture, and that’s what our design team at LiDR set out to do.  We used similar materials throughout to create a consistent feel, and we incorporated the business objectives for the new building into the design and manufacture of the bespoke office furniture, kitchen area, and meeting room.

Entrance/reception area

To provide a warm welcome to visitors as they enter the new building, we created a bespoke reception desk and a bespoke unit for the wall, which incorporated a monitor. This enables Zampell to display corporate videos and other messaging while providing useful storage space.

Open plan office and staff kitchen

The main office was designed to be open plan, with some separate and more private office space. Both were fitted with bespoke office furniture. The open plan office was designed to allow staff to flow freely and for the open plan environment to foster effective collaboration. It’s a flexible space too, where the workstations were created to be easily fitted to the high end desks. The area is also integrated with a fitted kitchen area where individuals can prepare food and drinks while never being far from their desks. Circular tables were added within this kitchen area for those taking a well earned break.

Staff lockers

Zampell wanted to provide some secure space for staff to store their belongings. This ensured that clutter in the open plan office area was kept to a minimum and people had somewhere to house key essentials overnight if needed.

Meeting room

For this meeting room space, we wanted to create a collaborative space. We designed and manufactured a long rectangular table with soft corners and also some bespoke wall panelling to add a modern and sleek feel to the room.

The result

LiDR’s state of the art bespoke design and manufacturing process means that we’re able to work with businesses to understand their exact requirements and turn these into practical workspaces with high end office furniture. In this project, we were able to do just that and Zampell were thrilled with the result.

Design and quality should never be compromised, and this new office, kitchen and reception area with staff lockers and meeting room provides the company with a space that can be fully utilised while aligning perfectly with their organisational culture.
